Financial Transaction Services Sponsors 2011 Nationwide Tour Mylan Classic

For the second straight year, Financial Transaction Services LLC (FTS) participated as a sponsor for the Nationwide Tour’s Mylan Classic at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, PA. One of the most popular and talked about events of the 2011 Tournament was The John Daly & Rocco Mediate Clinic presented by FTS. The one-hour clinic featuring two fan favorites from the PGA Tour proved to be both educational and entertaining to the 200 fans gathered around the First Tee Grandstands.
Other Tournament Sponsors included Highmark, Dicks Sporting Goods, Mascaro Construction, Taggart Global and Horizon Properties. In its second year, the Mylan Classic is becoming one of the more successful events on Tour and FTS is proud to be a sponsor. “Not only is it fun to be part of such a successful event but its gratifying to see the enormous amounts of money generated for local charities. 100% of ticket sales go to charity.” said Brian Shanahan, CEO of FTS. In addition to sponsoring the Clinic on Wednesday, FTS President Jeff Shanahan and CEO Brian Shanahan were part of the winning Pro-Am team partnered with John Daly.
The Mylan Classic is one of 26 events on the PGA TOUR’s Nationwide Tour schedule in 2011. It was held Aug. 29 through Sept. 4 at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, Pa. The event, won by Englishman Gary Christian drew 156 Nationwide Tour professionals from as many as 20 countries vying for one of the 25 PGA TOUR cards that will be awarded to the leading money winners at the end of the year. The Golf Channel televised all four rounds of the Mylan Classic in the U.S. Internationally, it was distributed via the PGA TOUR to 72 countries and territories, including Japan, China and parts of Europe and Latin America.
