Chicago Venture Summit: Ms. Tech

CardConnect was honored to sponsor Women & Venture Capital at the Chicago Venture Summit this October. The event was organized by the wonderful people at Ms. Tech, who work tirelessly to expand awareness of the women in the tech field and connect them with venture capitalists, investors, funding, and provide networking opportunities. They also work to encourage women to become entrepreneurs, leaders, and receivers of venture capital. The fact is, women need better access to the tech field, and organizations like Ms. Tech have made it their mission to bring together like-minded individuals and build a supportive community. In fact, our very own Katya Siddall will be joining Ms. Tech as a council member in 2015!

The Chicago Venture Summit was a one day event that brought in 9900 capital companies from both coasts to educate them on the start-up landscape in the Midwest. Ms. Tech and their vision were a perfect pairing. The Women & Venture Capital event was held at Paris Club Bistro in Chicago and had a fantastic 75 person turnout that brought venture capitalists and female-run startups together for an evening of networking and discussion.
