Payment processor introduces new name and brand to payments and Philadelphia tech communities
PHILADELPHIA (April 19, 2013) — CardConnect™, a fast-growing payment processor, recently changed its name from Financial Transaction Services (FTS) and relocated its corporate headquarters from Cleveland, Ohio to Philadelphia, Pa. To introduce the payment processing and Philadelphia communities to the rebranded CardConnect, the company is participating in several events in April.
• COLLABORATE 13 – OAUG FORUM, April 7-11, 2013 – Oracle’s annual meeting of its application users, COLLABORATE brings together technology companies to discuss best practices of using Oracle applications. CardConnect was an exhibitor at this year’s conference. The CardConnect Oracle EBS solution fully integrates customers’ payment streams into their ERP, and ensures PCI compliance by storing sensitive card data safely.
• Clean Air Council’s 5K Run for Clean Air, April 20, 2013 – Philadelphia’s largest Earth Day celebration, the 5K Run for Clean Air promotes sustainability, clean air and improvements to the region’s environmental health. CardConnect is a sponsor at this year’s 32nd annual 5K.
“Working in an industry that has traditionally been known to use excessive amounts of paper, it’s important for us to set a precedent by being green in every way we can,” said Jeff Shanahan, president of CardConnect. This desire to go green helped the company choose its new office upon relocating to the Philadelphia area; CardConnect’s headquarters has low flow water systems in the restrooms, a white roof to save energy in the warmer months, recycling bins at every employee’s desk, digital applications for new merchants, and a recycling system for glass, plastic, paper and electronics.
